5 Simple Steps to Wake Up Early and Energized!
September 1, 2019
After yesterday’s post, many people became curious about how to wake up early — easily and full of energy. ☀️
For years, this was one of my biggest challenges. I used to set at least 10 different alarms every morning just to get up on time. You can imagine how painful those last 30–60 minutes were, when the alarm kept ringing every 15, 10, or even 5 minutes! Maybe you’ve been there too... if so — hello, my fellow snoozer! 👋🏻😅
Now, it’s already Day 10, and I can hardly recognize myself!
Every morning I wake up at 5 a.m., and I’ve been using the exact methods I’m about to share with you below. These really work for me, and I’ll be so happy if they help you too. Don’t forget to share your results! 🤩🤩
It all started with an amazing book I’m currently reading — “The Miracle Morning” by Hal Elrod (in Russian, “Магия Утра”), a beautiful gift from Artem’s parents. 😍😍
The book is so inspiring — and the author shares some great practical steps for waking up early and with energy. Here are the main ones:
1. Think positively before going to bed
Before you fall asleep, imagine yourself waking up in the morning full of joy and energy. Create the feeling that you can’t wait for the morning to come.
It turns out that our final thoughts and mood before sleep are very important — because that’s exactly the state we wake up in.
2. Put your alarm clock away from the bed
Place it far enough so you have to physically get up and walk to turn it off. That movement helps you wake up. If the phone is next to your pillow, it’s too easy to hit “snooze” and fall back asleep!
3. Go straight to the bathroom
Brush your teeth — even such a simple action helps you wake up faster. If you splash your face with cold water, even better!
4. Drink water
During the night, your body naturally becomes dehydrated. Drinking a glass of water right after waking up helps restore balance and gives you an instant energy boost. Often, what we mistake for sleepiness is actually dehydration.
5. Move your body
Put on your workout clothes and do a bit of morning exercise — even light stretching or a short routine. Movement immediately lifts your mood and wakes your body up.
As Tony Robbins says,
“Emotions are created by motions!”
That’s why physical activity is the fastest way to create a great morning energy and emotional state! 💥
These five simple steps have already helped me make my new 5 a.m. wake-up habit stick.
Of course, developing a new habit — especially waking up at 5 a.m. 😅 — comes with challenges. For me, the hardest part was those first few minutes when I’d turn off the alarm, and the warm bed would start calling me back...
But I found a solution! 🙌🏻
And I discovered it thanks to T. Harv Eker’s powerful program “Secrets of Inner Power,” which I just finished working through yesterday. 😍🤩🙏🏻✨ (Yes — one more ✅ from my 100-day challenge goals!)
Harv talks about a phenomenon called MindFrick — those sabotaging thoughts that keep us stuck in our comfort zone.
He says if we simply let them talk but keep taking action anyway — trust our legs and hands to keep moving — those thoughts will disappear within a few minutes.
And then, we’ll be so proud of ourselves!
That’s exactly what happens to me. Even when I want to crawl back into bed, I get up, drink water, do a few stretches — and by the time the kettle starts to boil, all the MindFricks are gone, and I feel victorious! 😍😍😍
Tell me, what could be better than starting the day with this kind of feeling?!
Absolutely nothing! 💥💥💥
One more important note:
Having new goals and challenges makes it so much easier to wake up early and full of energy. My 100-Day Challenge gives me so much drive — not only in the mornings but throughout the entire day.
And guess what — September 1st is the perfect time to set new goals! 😍😍😍
