The Work of Byron Katie in Georgia
The Work Project is one of my favourite projects I’ve ever brought to life! It began with meeting Byron Katie, learning from her, and sharing her method — The Work of Byron Katie — in my home country of Georgia. I translated her two bestselling books - Loving What Is and I Need Your Love - Is That True? and introduced them to a wide Georgian audience.
A Dream Turned Reality
Back in August 2015, I attended an 8-day retreat in the Carpathian Mountains, Ukraine, called A Life in the Moment with Mikola Latansky and his wife Tatiana. During the retreat, they introduced our group to The Work of Byron Katie.
The Work is a simple yet profound tool that helps us question our stressful thoughts and free ourselves from suffering. It reveals how we project our thoughts and stories onto other people and onto life itself, creating pain. By identifying and questioning those thoughts, we reconnect to our truth and deepest wisdom — and start noticing what we couldn’t see before in ourselves, our lives, and in others. Byron Katie often says, “No two people have ever met.” This means we never meet another person directly — we meet only the story we hold about them, filtered through our mind.
When I first experienced The Work on myself during that retreat, a new dream was born: to meet Byron Katie in person, to go deeper into The Work, and then to bring it back to Georgia by translating and publishing her books. I even wrote it down in my notebook: “In 2016, I will attend Byron Katie’s School for The Work in Germany. I don’t know how, but I am open to this possibility.”
And it happened. In 2016, I attended The School for The Work of Byron Katie in Germany and met Katie for the very first time.
It was an unforgettable moment. Looking into her eyes — so deep, transparent, and loving — I felt her presence as something healing and timeless. Though she was 76 that time, her energy was fresh, alive, ageless. I realized that when we transcend the mind, even the body and age no longer limit us. Katie embodied that truth.
The School was a transformational,
life-changing experience.
When I returned, I presented The Work for the first time to the Georgian community in November 2016.
Around 70–80 people came, and from that moment, a movement began.
Over the years, I attended two more Schools in Germany (2017 and 2019), each one equally life-changing.
And I began translating Katie’s first book, Loving What Is, into Georgian.
The book was published in December 2018, and on September 14 we held a huge presentation.
Unforgettable Presentations
I had visualized a big conference room filled with people inspired by The Work and Loving What Is.
Many thought I was crazy for booking a hall that could hold 550+ people — it was unusual in Georgia to have such numbers at a book event.
But I trusted my vision. And the miracle happened: more than 1,000 people came! The streets around the venue were crowded. It was one of the most beautiful days of my life — a true celebration of love!
People left uplifted, inspired, and connected.
This success caught the attention of Georgia’s largest publishing house, and together we released a second print run to spread Loving What Is even further.
Unforgettable Presentations
Soon after, I translated Byron Katie’s second book, I Need Your Love — Is That True? and published it in January 2020, just before the pandemic.
With the help of my friends from the Kart-Valley group, we created another unforgettable event. Over 700 people attended (even more than the hall could hold!), and Byron Katie herself joined us live via video from Ojai, California.
My main message to the audience was: “You are enough.” Because I truly believe we are enough exactly as we are.
That day was another celebration of connection, love, and self-remembrance.

Growing Impact
Between these events and after, I continued leading live workshops, online programs, and individual consultations on The Work, bringing it into organizations, schools, and different communities.
In 2021, Loving What Is became one of the top three bestselling books in Georgia.

I feel deeply grateful and blessed to be the representative of The Work of Byron Katie in Georgia. Thousands of people’s lives have been touched by it, and I still receive letters from readers sharing how these books and this method have transformed their lives.
Invite Me to Speak
Today, I am based in Vancouver, BC, and I love sharing The Work of Byron Katie with individuals, groups, and organizations. If you’d like me to speak at your event, or guide your team through this powerful method, I’d be honoured to connect.
