Authenticity — Taking Off the Mask and Stepping Into Your True Self 🦋✨
October 16, 2020
Lately, I’ve been deeply exploring the topic of authenticity.
What is authenticity?
It’s knowing who you are, how you truly are, and what you genuinely want.
It’s living in alignment with what you desire.
It’s expressing what you feel — and how you feel it.
It’s being yourself — your real, unfiltered self — realizing that essence, and living your own life.
And what is the opposite of authenticity?
The mask we wear.
The protective mechanisms we use to shield ourselves from others or from uncomfortable situations.
The performance we put on.
Self-deception.
Living someone else’s life.
Believing false stories about who we are.
Limiting ourselves.
Living in illusion instead of truth.
It’s also fascinating to discover that some of the strong qualities we rely on most in life — the ones we’re even proud of — can actually be part of our defense mechanisms.
They protect us from what we fear might happen again — from pain we once experienced and never want to repeat.
So we keep strengthening those traits, perfecting them, using them as armor — while unconsciously avoiding the very experiences that could set us free.
To truly evolve and step into a new stage of life, we must first recognize the mask we wear, acknowledge the fear behind it, and see the old strategies that brought us here — but can’t take us further.
Then we can consciously create new, healthier, more authentic strategies that align with who we really are and where we want to go.
In connection with this topic, I’m currently offering a limited number of individual sessions — where we’ll gently unpack your personal mechanisms, help you understand your fears, transform old patterns, and design new, empowering strategies to move into your next chapter of life.
If you’re ready for a deep, honest process and to step into a new level of authenticity, you can book a session here.
It’s an incredibly profound and transformative journey…
