The Story of a Walking Admiration 🤩
October 16, 2020
Have you ever caught yourself wanting to be better than someone else?
Prettier? Smarter? More attractive? More interesting?
Maybe even… more successful?
And have you ever noticed moments when, because of that inner comparison, you didn’t compliment someone, you didn’t acknowledge something beautiful about them, you held back your admiration — kept those feelings inside instead of expressing them freely?
Or maybe, deep down, you felt a little sting of jealousy when someone else was doing well or shining brightly?
Let me introduce you to that voice — it’s called the ego.
The part within us that constantly compares, that wants to be the best, that fears someone else might outshine it.
The ego is scared — What if someone turns out to be better than me?
But what if we set that ego aside for a while?
Who would step onto the stage instead?
✨ Pure Admiration. ✨
I call it “Walking Admiration” — that state of being where you are genuinely and wholeheartedly in awe of everything and everyone around you.
You see a tree — and you’re amazed: “How beautiful! How perfect!”
You see a person — and you’re filled with admiration: “How wonderful they are, how unique, how talented!”
So let’s allow ourselves to admire boldly.
We’re grown adults — how can we let that little, frightened ego win? 😄
Here’s a fun challenge for you (and for myself too):
Every day, choose at least 5 things or people to admire openly.
Say it out loud. Express it. Don’t hold back your words, energy, or emotion — be generous with your admiration.
And then notice how amazing it makes you feel inside!
If you like something — say it!
Tell them! Acknowledge it! Share it with enthusiasm!
Admire freely and feel how good it feels — the joy, the energy, the sparkle it creates! 🔥🤩💥
🧚🏻♀️ So, here’s how this little game of admiration works:
Choose 5 people (friends, family, colleagues).
Tell them — or message them — what you genuinely love or admire about them.
For example:
“I admire that you…”
“What I really like about you is…”
Then wish them well from your heart — and invite them to do the same with five more people.
And so on… imagine this beautiful chain reaction of heartfelt admiration spreading everywhere! 😍✨
Let’s start with our family members.
When was the last time you told your partner, mom, dad, sister, brother, or friend what you truly love and admire about them?
They need to hear it — and it will make them so happy. ❤️
Our Georgian (and generally Covid-tensed) world needs more love, more warmth, and more genuine positive emotions! 🌿✨
So let’s start — today! 🤩🤩🤩🤩
