Every Relationship Begins with Ourselves 💛✨ Reflections✨

August 14, 2018

I discovered that every relationship with others begins with the relationship we have with ourselves.

What we ask from others is, in truth, what we need from ourselves.
What hurts us when it comes from others is, in reality, what first hurts us within.
And what disappoints us in others is really our own self-disappointment reflected back.

When we are able to create a healthy relationship with ourselves, we naturally build healthier, more loving communication with everyone else.

The problem is not out there.
The problem is not “in other people.” And that’s actually good news. Because the only person we ever truly need to “change” is ourselves. This is the shortest path to joy, peace, and celebrating life.

I’ve noticed that every time I took responsibility for my part — without blaming others or searching for the problem in them — something powerful awakened in me. Each time, I felt stronger and found a solid ground of support within myself.

Byron Katie and The Work have been a profound help for me in this journey.

😌✨ If you, too, feel called to explore this inner ground and build a deeper, kinder relationship with yourself, I would be happy to walk beside you in this process. You can write to me or book a session if you feel ready 💛☀️✨
