Gratitude – Welcome to Abundance!
Hello, dear ones! Today I want to talk about gratitude—because it holds incredible power!! ❤
First, I’d love to share an awareness I had this summer in the Carpathians, during Mykola Latansky’s training “Life in the Moment.”
Kolya asked us to do an exercise: for about 10 minutes we had to sit or walk in nature, in complete silence, and express gratitude for absolutely everything we noticed during that time.
At the training“Life in the Moment,” in the Carpathians, Ukraine. August, 2015.
At first, it felt a bit strange… expressing gratitude for everything. Hmm… I wasn’t used to it. )) But I began. I saw a tree and thought: “I am grateful I see this beautiful tree, because it provides us with oxygen, and just looking at it fills me with energy.” Then I noticed a flower: “I am grateful there are flowers here, because they inspire me and put me in a good mood.” I looked up at the sky: “I am grateful for the clear blue sky today, that it isn’t raining, and that it is such a beautiful color.” Then I saw Kolya: “I am grateful for Kolya, because he cares for us with his whole heart and soul, shares his knowledge and experience, and helps us become better.” I looked at one of the participants: “I am grateful for Tanya, because her eyes are so kind and filled with love, and she always looks at me with this warmth.” And so on…
Then suddenly, I stopped. A wave of extraordinary feeling came over me. I felt a deep, profound gratitude—for everyone and everything. I felt truly happy, overflowing, and I began to see the world differently. Ordinary things suddenly appeared as treasures, full of goodness, worthy of appreciation. And no matter what I looked at, I always found at least one reason to be grateful. I was fully present—“here and now.” I realized that everything I needed to feel happy, fulfilled, content, and grateful was already around me. ❤
The truth is, we always have everything we need to be happy in this moment. But so often, our thoughts circle around what we don’t have, what is missing—and that brings disappointment and negative feelings. Yet, if we focus for even a few minutes on what we do have, on who we are today, and on what we can be grateful for right now, our mood changes instantly. We discover how rich we really are! ❤ Try it for yourself…
I realized that gratitude is a choice. In every situation, in every moment, we can choose to be grateful for something or someone. Even in the smallest details, there is always something worthy of gratitude. After all, happiness lives in the details! ❤
Do you know what happens when we express gratitude with our whole being? We send invisible vibrations into the world, and those vibrations attract even more positive people, events, and situations into our lives. And when we practice gratitude daily, life multiplies those joyful events—giving us even more reasons to be grateful. Why? Because where our attention goes, our thoughts follow. Where our thoughts are, there is our energy. And our energy creates our life in every single moment. ❤
We are creating our lives every second, consciously or unconsciously, with our thoughts and our inner state.
Gratitude is a habit—it’s a way of thinking! If we don’t express gratitude for what we have today, what guarantee is there we’ll be grateful for what we’ll have tomorrow, even if it’s more? It doesn’t matter how much we own—it matters how much we appreciate what we already have. We don’t need to lose something to realize its value. We can choose to be grateful for it right now.
When we focus on gratitude, we stop thinking about what we lack and shift our attention to what we do have. And then we often discover—we already have everything we need to reach our goals, to be happy, and to feel whole in this very moment. ❤
Just try it. Give yourself a few minutes. Ask yourself: What can I be grateful for right now?
You might be grateful for food, for clean water, for your home, your health, your clothes, your work. For your partner who loves you deeply. For your sister or brother who is so dear to you. For your children who make your life brighter. The more you express gratitude, the more you realize how rich you already are. ❤
To make gratitude a way of life, there are many beautiful practices. One very effective method is keeping a gratitude journal.
Personally, I’ve been writing mine every day for about a month and a half now—listing what I’m grateful for, what good things happen in my life, what I have, who I am, who is around me. And I’ve noticed that during this time, even more goodness has come into my life—more positivity, more warmth, more love, more joyful news. ❤ Writing in my gratitude journal has created a new habit: to see something good in almost every situation! And it’s such a delightful and inspiring process…
My gratitude journals! ❤ 2015
Today I looked back at my old notes, and what I was grateful for a month ago—I’m now 100 times more grateful for it! Because shining a spotlight on it made it grow stronger in my life. ❤ ❤ ❤ It’s incredible…
What role does gratitude play in your life?
How grateful are you for what you have and who you are?
How often do you express gratitude, and how does it affect your life?
If you also keep a gratitude journal, I’d love to hear what it has brought into your life. ❤
With love and gratitude,
Tina Basilaia ❤
