Inspiring Youth in the Conflict Zone | Work Diaries✨

May 11, 2018

The village of Nikozi, located in the Gori municipality, lies within the conflict zone. As we approached, the border police stopped us—on our own country’s territory—and we had to wait for about half an hour before being allowed to enter. This was deeply emotional for all of us...

In Nikozi, we were welcomed by 10th–11th grade students who truly amazed us. They had built their own library, the very place where our meeting was held. Just a one-minute walk from this library lies the border itself...

These young people are determined, active, goal-oriented, resilient, and overflowing with enthusiasm and motivation to learn and grow. At only 16–17 years old, they reach out to people who inspire them and invite them into their world. 😍😍😍

This time, thanks to the kind and noble initiative of the wonderful Lali Chelidze, we had the privilege of visiting them. Lali, once again—thank you from the bottom of my heart for this brilliant opportunity to be of service to such talented and committed young people 😍😍😍

I spoke with them about achieving goals and making dreams come true, sharing my own inspiring stories and examples. I believe this will encourage them, too, to never give up and to always believe in themselves, their abilities, and their dreams! 💥💥💥

I also met extraordinary, fascinating people—talented trainers—and together we shared a truly beautiful, love-filled day 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️☀️☀️☀️🌈🌈🌈🌻🌻🌻✨✨✨✨

And these kids… they are simply amazing!!!!!
